Description

7.1.2 surround sound
Dolby Atmos positions sounds around and above the listener, making movement, weather and other effects easier to perceive. Two upward-firing tweeters create the height channels, while side-firing drivers widen the stereo soundstage.

Nine amplifiers and nine drivers
Nine Class-D amplifiers are tuned to the soundbar’s acoustic architecture. Five tweeters reproduce clear high and mid frequencies, while four low-profile woofers add power and depth to films and music.

Clearer dialogue
AI Speech Enhancement detects human voices and brings them forward from sound effects and background noise. The Sonos app offers four levels of dialogue enhancement.

Quieter evening listening
Night Sound reduces the intensity of sudden loud sounds while emphasising quieter details. This makes it easier to follow films at lower volume without losing dialogue clarity.

Trueplay room tuning
Trueplay measures the room’s acoustics and adjusts the equaliser based on the soundbar’s placement. The feature works with compatible iOS and Android devices and helps balance the sound in both open-plan spaces and smaller rooms.

Simple TV connection
HDMI eARC carries high-bandwidth surround sound from the TV. The Sonos app guides you through setup, while your existing TV remote automatically takes control of the soundbar volume.

Music over WiFi and Bluetooth
Music can be streamed over WiFi, played from a connected Bluetooth device or sent via Apple AirPlay 2. Touch controls and voice control also allow playback to be managed directly from the soundbar.

Expandable home cinema system
Beam Ultra can be paired with a Sonos subwoofer and rear speakers. Compatible Sonos speakers can also be used as part of a multi-room system to play the same or different content in different areas of the home.

Audio to Sonos headphones
TV Audio Swap allows TV audio to be transferred from Beam Ultra to compatible Sonos headphones. Dolby Atmos audio is retained while the room itself stays quiet.

Compact design
Beam Ultra’s slim enclosure fits neatly beneath a TV and is similar in size to the Beam. The soundbar can be placed on furniture or mounted on a wall using the separately sold Beam Ultra wall mount.

Privacy-conscious microphone
The far-field microphone array uses beamforming and multi-channel echo cancellation for voice control and Trueplay tuning. A physical switch can disconnect the microphone when desired.
