Child lock 
The ChildLock function is specifically designed for families with small children. On newer models, this function can be activated in the settings, which automatically locks the hob every time it is turned off. Otherwise, you can lock the hob by pressing the symbol.

Residual heat indicator 
For even greater safety, the residual heat indicator shows you which zones of the cooktop are still hot. As long as an indicator is lit, the respective heating zone should not be touched. However, you can still use it to defrost a dish or keep it warm.
